Privacy Policy.
Information on the collection, use and protection of personal data.
AGG Advogados respects users' privacy and the confidentiality of information provided to the practice. This policy explains how personal data is used when you contact the office and how rights relating to that data can be exercised.
Information provided and contact channels
Contact by email or telephone may involve a name, contact details and any information the person chooses to provide in their enquiry.
The form asks for a name, email address and brief message. A telephone number is optional. Please share only the information needed for an initial assessment, avoiding documents or sensitive data that have not yet been requested.
Data can be submitted through the form only when the service is available. If you cannot submit your enquiry or confirm that it has been sent, please use the direct contact details on the Contact page.
Purposes and legal basis for processing
We use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, understand your legal needs and manage the related professional correspondence. If you ask us to take steps towards providing legal services, we may carry out the appropriate pre-contractual steps at your request.
The legal basis depends on the specific purpose: pre-contractual steps at the person's request or performance of the contractual relationship, where applicable; compliance with legal obligations; or a legitimate interest in responding to and managing other communications, balanced against the data subject's rights.
Where processing relies on consent, that consent must be specific and may be withdrawn. Browsing the website or acknowledging this policy does not amount to general consent for other uses of data. Details provided in enquiries are not intended for newsletter subscriptions or advertising communications.
Disclosure and service providers
Personal data should only be shared with third parties as necessary to respond to the enquiry, carry out the requested engagement or meet applicable legal and professional obligations.
Hosting and email services may involve technical access to data. Such access should be limited to the functions necessary and subject to the applicable data protection and confidentiality obligations. These providers should not use the content of communications for incompatible purposes of their own.
Any processing involving access to data outside the European Economic Area must meet the legally required conditions and safeguards. This does not mean that every communication is subject to an international transfer.
Retention and confidentiality
Data is retained for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Data from enquiries that do not lead to an engagement should be distinguished from data held in a client file, taking account of the need to respond, closure of the file and applicable legal or professional obligations.
Access to information should be limited to authorised persons and the purpose of the engagement. Protective measures should be appropriate to the nature of the data and its processing. No means of communication can guarantee absolute security; the information shared should be proportionate to an initial enquiry.
Data subjects' rights
Subject to the applicable law, a data subject may request access to their data and obtain a copy, seek rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data, or request erasure or restriction of processing. They may also object and request portability where the relevant conditions are met.
Where processing is based on consent, withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out previously. The exercise of rights is assessed in light of legal conditions, professional obligations and the rights of others.
Requests should be sent to info@agg-legal.pt. Only information strictly necessary to confirm identity may be requested. A response should be provided within the statutory time limits; exercising these rights is free of charge, subject to the exceptional circumstances provided for by law.
A data subject may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, in particular the Portuguese Data Protection Authority (CNPD), under the applicable rules.

Changes and contact
This policy may be updated to reflect changes in contact channels, processing or legal requirements. Where a change requires further information to the data subject or consent, the applicable requirements should be met before the corresponding processing takes place.
